Fireworks retailers are seeing significantly larger orders
Fireworks retailers are seeing more and larger orders compared to previous years during the same period. NOS Stories spoke with eighteen retailers. Sixteen of them say they are receiving more orders. Earlier, two other shop owners also told NH Nieuws that they are selling more. The same applies to the three retailers interviewed by RTV Utrecht.
Nearly all sixteen fireworks retailers receiving more orders told NOS Stories that the amounts spent per order are also increasing. Percentages ranging from 10 percent to 60 percent were mentioned.
Bart Pronk of the Stichting Vuurwerkdealers Nederlands Consumentenvuurwerk also recognizes the trend. “Nationwide, we see that the number of orders remains roughly the same, but the contents of each order are significantly larger.” Pronk cannot confirm exact percentages, but says the increase is substantial. According to him, customers are spending around 25 to 30 percent more per order.
